Pregnancy Testing
Your no cost pregnancy test appointment will provide you with a lab quality pregnancy test. They are 99% accurate as early as 7-10 days from conception.
During this appointment, you will receive your test results and have an opportunity to discuss the results, and any concerns that you may have, with one of our nurses or qualified staff members. If your test is positive, then an ultrasound will be recommended to confirm the pregnancy.
Ultrasound
Your no cost ultrasound appointment will help you learn important information about your pregnancy. Click here to learn more
How far along am I?
If you cannot remember when your last period was or have a history of irregular periods, an ultrasound can give you an estimated measurement of your pregnancy.
If you are planning on having an abortion, you will need to know how many weeks pregnant you are in order to determine which abortion methods are available to you.
Will I have a natural miscarriage?
If you are pregnant and considering abortion, you may not need one. Studies show that as many as 1 in 5 early pregnancies end in natural miscarriage.
An ultrasound can help determine if your pregnancy is viable or at risk for natural miscarriage.
Do I have an ectopic pregnancy?
If your pregnancy is ectopic, meaning the fertilized egg is outside of the uterus, then you will need to seek emergency medical attention. An ultrasound can help determine if your pregnancy is developing in the uterus.
STD/STI Testing and Treatment
If you are sexually active, you may be at risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases or infections, (STDs or STIs).
In some cases, people who are infected with STDs or STIs do not show any symptoms at all. However, it is important to know that the absence of symptoms does not necessarily mean a person is not infected. Even without displaying symptoms, an STD/STI can still cause harm to the body and is still transmittable to a sexual partner. Regular testing is important to ensure optimal health. At Eva Women’s Clinic, we provide free testing and treatment for STDs/STIs on our positive pregnancy test patients.
Your Options
Parenting
Parenting can be a struggle at any age no matter what the circumstances. Our staff offer the help and support you need to consider a plan to parent. We know that there are no perfect circumstances and certainly no perfect parents. Our role is to encourage, educate, and provide resources to our patients in order to help them see their situation clearly.
Our nurses and patient advocates help those choosing parenting to realistically evaluate their own circumstances, so they can develop a plan to meet individual needs. The father of the baby or your support team are always welcome to participate in any discussions with your permission.
Abortion
There are two types of legal abortion in the United States – surgical and medical (the abortion pill). Learning the facts about abortion procedures and the risks associated with each type will help you make an informed decision.
Prior to having an abortion, confirming your pregnancy with a lab quality pregnancy test and ultrasound is an important step in protecting your health and well-being.
Adoption
If you do not feel ready to parent a child, think about adoption. It is an option that can provide you and your child with a positive outcome.
Although we are not an adoption agency, we can provide you with information about Ohio adoption laws and requirements and referrals to local adoption agencies at your request.
