Free Ultrasounds

To meet high demand for free limited ultrasounds in Northeast Ohio, a positive pregnancy test is needed to qualify. Free tests are offered on-site. In most cases, pregnancy tests and ultrasounds can be completed during the same appointment.

Before scheduling an abortion, get clear answers through a nurse-verified pregnancy test and a limited ultrasound. The scan can confirm gestational age, check for a fetal heartbeat, and verify that the pregnancy is in the uterus.

These details help determine which abortion method you could be eligible for and may influence timing, risks, and cost based on your health history.

Ultrasound also checks viability. Research shows up to one in four pregnancies may not continue, and some miscarriages are not obvious without imaging.¹

If a miscarriage is identified or suspected, medical follow-up is important for your safety and care. STI testing and treatment are also recommended before any abortion.

In most cases, pregnancy tests and ultrasounds can be completed during the same appointment at Eva Women's Clinic of Northeastern Ohio.

Limited ultrasounds often do:

• Detect a fetal heartbeat

• Estimate gestational age and approximate due date

• Determine the number of fetuses

• Refer you to emergency care if urgent medical attention is needed
  
  

Limited ultrasounds at Eva Women’s Clinic do NOT:

• Reveal the baby’s sex

• Diagnose fetal abnormalities

• Replace prenatal care

Free limited ultrasounds are available to check for a fetal heartbeat, estimate gestational age, and confirm that the pregnancy is in the uterus.

As a community-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Eva Women’s Clinic does not profit from your ultrasound or pregnancy decision. Because services are free, there is no need for insurance or billing.

Your ultrasound information remains confidential, and caring medical staff provide support as you review your options.

If you notice bleeding, spotting, or cramping, seek medical attention immediately, since these can be signs of miscarriage that may require further care. Scans are performed by a nurse sonographer or RDMS.
